This evening we went out to dinner as a family. After dinner we went out to The little House to release a birthday balloon for Parker. Bradley stayed in the car while we ran out to the middle of the corn field to let the balloon go.We have made it our family tradition to release a balloon on Parker's birthday. Each of us write a little message to Parker on the balloon before we release it. The girls have enjoyed doing this the last two years. It helps the girls express their feelings about losing their brother. They were not as sad this year compared to last year.

ReplyDeleteI think releasing a balloon for Parker is a wonderful tradition. Happy Birthday Parker! We love you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a special way to celebrate Parker's birthday. A friend in my ward has also lost a baby and when we first met and were doing all the typical nice to meet you questions, she said she had "three children but unfortunately lost one as a baby." It was simple and inclusive and left it open for more questions if I was comfortable, just FYI. I love you guys.
